Doveblessings was delighted when invited by West Auckland Hospice to participate in the Crafts Out West fundraising event. We decided a first ever "flying for peace" white dove race would give a great message of unity and peace, in a fun way. Thank you to all the people who supported and donated funds, and made the event a successful and enjoyable occasion, and what a great cause ,as Hospice people do an incredible job for families in our community, giving support and comfort in a time of need. Congratulations to Mathew Day, who attends Rangview Intermediate, he picked the first dove home to our loft, as you can see it was smiles all round.

Hi Dunhill, no, the white dove is a symbol of peace, but white ring neck doves are not able to find their way home, so we use a rock dove, much stronger and able to fly 500 miles per day, and perform very much like a racing pigeon, cheers.

Nice! Where do you get those nice baskets? I have wicker baskets and I have wire baskets, but nothing that combines the two unless you have a wire basket inside the wicker basket.
