Saturday, November 17, 1984 — This is a clip of the TV broadcast from WBAY-TV Channel 2 covering the first annual Green Bay City Centre Holiday Parade. Though the parade itself is much longer, this clip features over 6 minutes of live coverage of the West De Pere Phantom Regiment. The regiment consists of the Marching Band, Color Guard and the Pom & Dance Team.

About the recording:
At the time of this parade, I was 22 years old and worked as a front desk clerk at the Holiday Inn City Centre. We, the employees of the Holiday Inn, built the "Fantasy Inn" float which won the Mayor's Award. Unfortunately, I was deer hunting on this day and was not able to ride the float that we built. So I recorded the TV broadcast on my VCR (this was pretty cool stuff back then). Dean Dupont, my roommate (and best man at my wedding), recently found the tape in a box. The sound isn't the best quality after 25 years.

Wow, those were the days, poms were bigger than our heads, knee highs and saddle shoes. And "Strangers in Paradise" was considered a holiday song...thanks for posting!!

I don't know anyone in this marching band, but I know the band. This is my first year in it.
