The video is pretty self-describing. 130 (yes it's a strange number to cut off at) American pro wrestlers and tag teams, ranked by a scoring system of my choosing. It's not perfect, and even now I can think of a few I left off or probably ranked wrong. Largely inspired by ChiliPalmer14's list, but I decided to cut the time frame into about half, and display all the scoring factors I used. Instead of videos, I just opted for a stat card format. I don't have the time, patience or video editing skills to do anything the scale of his Top 250.

I may get flak for counting ECW world belts as on par with I-C and US belts, but that's just the way I saw them. I thought I was pretty fair on the skill ratings, but I'm sure they won't please everyone. As you can see, duration and title scores outweigh actual wrestling skills, so guys like Kerry Von Erich and Kurt Angle get lower rankings, while being some of the best all-around wrestlers when it came to persona and ring skills.

  • harlem heat #1 tag team... no way

  • The Road Warriors were #6, and Harlem Heat #7. The Steiners would probably be higher if they wrestled more in the US, since Japan was not counted in my rankings. BTW, I'm working on a PPV-based rating system for this era, but it will only include WCW & WWF ppvs. The results should be different.

  • Its all opinion, and believe me I respect the hell out of the time & effort you put into this...but Val Venis getting ranked ahead of Nick Bockwinkel? Nick main evented as AWA Champ for years. When did Val main event anything but Sunday Night Heat? (I actually appreciate Val's ringwork alot, so I'm not bashing Val)

  • Bockwinkel was a 60s, 70s and early 80s guy. 1985 was when he was on his way out. No doubt he was one of the greatest legends of wrestling; he just didn't wrestle enough in the Mania era to get a high score. The same went for Lou Thesz in the 70s-90s list.

  • Good list here, but I would have Flair #1 and Hogan#2. Also, Bill Goldberg should have been much higher. At his peak he was the top star in wrestling. Also, I felt the Fabulous Freebirds should have been higher. Nobody wanted to walk down BADSTREET USA.

  • I grew up with Memphis wrestling-

    1. Bill 'SuperStar' Dundee

    2. Jerry ' The King' Lawler

    3. 'HotStuff' Eddie Gilbert

    4. 'WildFire' Tommy Rich
