  • @Otouto72 Dave Rogers was the Rob Hubbard of the Spectrum, enough said.

  • @TeamRocketReviews Dave admitted himself that he took the lazy road and squashed the three channel AY tune into the one channel and that was your 48K music. The only beeper tune he probably composed was Cybernoid the rest was "lazy". But it was amazing to hear such sound from the beeper.

  • @Otouto72 I love the 48K beeper version of Cybernoid II. Of course this sounds better, but it's amazing that Dave Rogers got such a funky tune out of a tinny beeper speaker. This is equally great, but for some reason, the 48K version stands out in my mind more.

  • @TeamRocketReviews Yeah the SID was so powerful compared the AY which was hidiously limited but Dave was one of those who always worked hard to defy the limitations and make the chip do more than desired, like Bear a Grudge is a prime example of that, accoring to Sinclair User he used a Korg guitar and a DW8000 synth to create soundtracks in his head - from his head they go straight to the AY chip. Like wow!

  • @Otouto72 The AY isn't a bad sound chip, it's actually quite good. It's just that the SID is so much better.

  • @greatxerox I am very aware of CPC Power =) I love The Light Corridor, that's an awesome tune. The Speccy was the first computer I owned and I still love it to this day. And yes a lot of Amstrad games where Spectrum ports.

  • @Otouto72 oh that's nice ! i MUST contact alberto gonzales because you maybe know the best site for AMSTRAD CPC, "cpc power" The webmaster (like me) are fans of "the light corridor" "hostages" , Alberto made the musics for these games, for example. it should be great to have an interview too (Phenix informatique). I never had a Zx spectrum. Amstrad CPC had the same chiptune, and a lot of games were going from the Zx spectrum.

  • @greatxerox I've been fortunate to have certain programmers and musicians comment on my videos, Mark R. Jones, Jim Bagley and the best was Alberto Gonzalez, hopefully one day Dave will see these and see that his work and his music are still remembered and appreciated today by many.

  • @Otouto72 i agree ^^ (lol) i'd like to contact Dave Rogers !

  • @FL00PPA No problem man, its one reason I made the channel, to relive nostalgia. And this is a great tune, Dave Rogers made a lot of great tunes over the years.
