US Docs help maximize pain of torture to prisoners!

DL & read the Red Cross report yourself if you can handle the truth:

Nybooks.com

It is a very easy read; page 3 gives overview

Abraham Lincoln forbid torture during Civil War; though he did suspend Habeas Corpus The Supreme Court however, over turned Lincolns suspension of Habeas Corpus

In the aftermath of the Civil War, addressing President Lincoln's suspension of the writ of habeus corpus, the U.S. Supreme Court said: "The Constitution...is a law for rulers and people, equally in war and in peace, and covers with its shield of protection all classes of men, at all times, and under all circumstances". Ex Parte Milligan, 71 US 2 (1866).

Does anyone really believe that the Court's statement has any meaning in today's America?

Longest period of time USA has gone without bombing someone: 2 years

  • Not that I doubt we tortured anyone, but are 14 High-Value detainees the best people to question for this kind of report..?

    Kudos Red Cross.

  • The irony is that history & science has taught the enlightened man that torture never provides plausible intell

In fact, the one & only piece of good intell came when building rapport with suspects, showing cultural understanding and using good old-fashioned brainpower to tease out information & ultimately led to Zarqawi

At least half of our losses and casualties in that country have come at the hands of foreigners who joined the fray because of our program of detainee abuse - Mat Alexander

  • The high value asset you talk about is a human with the GOD given right of Habeas Corpus ... The civilized world has given some form of Habeas Corpus since the Magna Carta in 1215 ad ...

We had effectively gone back to the dark ages where a man can be put in a dungeon without charges forever ...

the point of legality ... Hitler was executing the Jews in Nazi Germany legally under his written laws ... Legal is not always ethical.

  • Professor Elizabeth Warren who is supposed to look into TARP says she has no idea where the first 350 Billion dollars went - And they won't tell her, (she said it on the Bill Mahers show - I'll have it on video tomorrow)

Is this not as bad as the old Soviet Union as far as corruption?

Longest time the USA has gone without bombing someone: 2 years

Amount of Civilians dead due to American intervention: 1 million plus, 500,000 of which were children whose only crime was being born in wrong place

  • In short, I fail to see anything "legal" or ethical or morally just in America

    Do you ?

  • Lets face it, when it comes to terrorism, our secret govt has walmartized it and the people were are after in the middle east are like a boy scout group compared.

It's time for full disclosure ... the Tarp funds was a rip off by our global elitists to keep their war murder machine rolling.

  • Holy Crap!

    Now that's funny!

The US dollar devaluated 11% since March!!

Thank god all my US currency was converted; all my IRAs & 401K's converted to foreign currency

The banking oligarchs tripled the money supply in the last 6 months!
