You're both entitled to your opinions but the only thing that Randy shares with Chris is 80s hair. Randy was more than a shred machine. He wrote classic riffs and metal songs that are going to be remembered forever. Meanwhile, if Chris is remembered at all it won't be for creating anything. He's just another guitar player with very nice technique.
