    Trioli touts a poll that sampled a few hundred people telephoned by impersonal operators as PROOF that 65% of Australians agree with the ETS scheme, yet mocks Uhlmann for his more realistic estimate.

    Pollsters call people on the phone, and these calls are largely ignored by busy, employed conservatives, but are eagerly answered by stay at home unemployed people with nothing to do.

    How many Aussies does Virginia Trioli visit around Australia, to ask them about these matters?

  • Look at the dialogue from 3:30 on. She says that according to one poll, 65% of Australians agree with the ETS scheme. Uhlmann says that 95% of Australians would not have the foggiest idea what was in that bill. Trioli asks Uhlmann what he is basing that on, and he says ‘from all of the contact I’ve had with people all around the country,” and Trioli snaps, “95% of it?” (continued below)
