also, another way to work on waiting, put the bungee up on a height youve yet to reach, and put the bar up also, 2 feet higher. Once you hit the bar off, turn. Thats about how high your feet need to get above a height to clear it. worked for me.
when you're practicing, put the bungee up there at 16, 17, or 18 feet and focus on 1. not looking at it on the way up and 2. turning before you get to it so the front of your shins/knees hit it rather than hooking it down with the back of your legs. You'll need to keep your trail leg long through the whole swing and drive your knee until you're upside down
