This bird is native to Australia and a very dangerous bird. I was being told in this video that one of these birds had recently killed two people at one time....

  • It's like a raptor talon they have on each toe. Mean looking sickle of a toe claw but none the less a beautiful looking bird. Looks and moves so much like a dinosaur, with the exception of several body parts.

  • mmmm, apparently, dangerous word. This is a wild bird, leave it alone, respect it, it won't bother you.

It is a beautiful creature one that I have been fortunate enough to see in the wild, and it didn't try to kill me. Humans are far more dangerous.

  • Although Cassowarys are one of the most dangerous birds in the World. I don't believe for one second that this particleboard bird killed two people before this video was taken. Or even days before...the zoo would be closed and that animal would be held elsewhere away from people and other cassowarys if not 'put down'. Just sayin' LOL

  • skippy rules

  • Every year in the paper up here in North QLD there are at least a few reported attacks on tourists and backpackers, most requiring hospitalisation.

  • Lots have been injured.

  • ya genuis...except the titanis is extinct

  • Do they bother the roos and wallabies?

  • it's way far from the most dangerous bird. I would put that title to Titanis or Argentavis. Those guys could kill anything... you know, except an armed human.

  • raptor claws beat out kickboxing on the dangerous scale by like, a billion. I'd take a punch to the face over a sliced open abdomen any day.

  • Yea, there's only been one recorded death by cassowary, which was in 1924 i believe, wiki it. Some kids were trying to kill it, and one got knifed in the throat.
