North Norfolk Railway That's Yer Lot Gala 28/02/09

A visit to the North Norfolk Railway for the 'That's Yer lot' Gala - commemorating 50s years since the closure of the Midland & Great Northern Railway and celebrating 50s years of of the Midland & Great Northern Railway Society.

Eight locos were in steam on the Saturday, five visiting engines and three resident engines. These were:

BR Standard 2MT 78019 (from the Great Central Railway, Loughbrough)
BR Standard 4MT 76079 (courtesy of Ian Riley)
BR/LNER B1 1306 "Mayflower" (from The Battlefield Line)
Ex LMS 4F 44422 (from The Churnet Valley Railway)
L&Y Class 27 No 1300 (from the East Lancashire Railway)
WD 2-10-0 90775
Ex LNER N7/L77 69621
Ex LNER J15/GER Y14 65462

An intensive train service was in operation, using four sets of coaches, including the supebly restored LNER teak Quad Articulated Set.

Has 76079 had a repaint over the winter? It does look very shiny.

I think it did recieve a repaint back in January/early February.

Excellent video! The Quad-Art set looks fantastic - but I wouldnt like to be the one who has to clean the white roof after all those steam locos have done their thing!

Thanks David. Indeed the Quat-Art set does look fantastic, was quite nice to ride in it too. I don't think I would like to clean the roof after the locos have done their thing either!
