Hmoob Hmong early modern music. Oldies of the early 80s. Very likely an 80s song. Don't know the title, but I got the band and singer now (Poj Qaib), this is the same lady who sang Peg Yog Leej Twg. Anybody knows the title? Poor sound quality because of old cassette tape transfer. Keep the music alive.

Lyrics translation to English:

When you're departing from me
My life almost end, almost disappear
You're going, remember about me
Remember the words we said at night in love
I'm staying behind, will wait
Counting days counting nights, you're coming back
(When) Which day are you coming back
You're departing, please, good luck
Don't change your liver (aka heart), your lung (aka mind)
Remember that someone
Still love, still miss, still wait for only you

I'm staying behind, will wait
Counting days counting nights, you're coming back
(When) Which day are you coming back
You're departing, please, good luck
Don't change your liver (heart), your lung (mind)
Remember that someone
Still love, still miss, still wait for only you

  • i must be deaf or something because i can't really make out what she is saying. can someone post the lyrics?

  • @mega408

I can not read or write in Hmong, so I roughly translate the lyrics into English and post it in the description area. Click "Show More" to see.

The line that she sings "Don't change your lung, your liver" makes sense in Hmong. But to make sense in the English vernacular Ithink it should be "Don't change your heart, your mind".

  • who is the singer?

  • @yajmy80

The girl's name is Poj Qaib. Her band was Muaj Peev Xwm. They are like in their 40s-50s now.
