I had an '86 (white and blue) for about 12 years. I've owned a lot of bikes over the years, and this one was a honey. Probably the smoothest running engine of all of them!

@DRCsyntax annarbor craigslist blue 1984 such a nice bike. Not mine. I have to wait until Jan to get mine also planning on getting a blue one, good luck|!

7 years ago I had a chance to get one of these or an "84 Gpz 750. Went with the GPz and am glad I did. However, I'd still like to own a Nighthawk S. IMO, the best looking Honda from the air-cooled era. You look at the Nighhawk S, and it just oozes "business".

What was that about not having to replace fork seals? I got a 91 nighthawk and the seals are leaking.

There is a red (sorry) 84 right down the street from me. It is in excellent shape.

Thanks for the comments. I am new to the Nighthawk and old for cycling, but I love it. This bike is quick, nimble and fast enough for me. I have owned it for about a year and a half, put about 12 thousand miles on it. It has over 52,000 on the odometer. I have had absolutely zero problems with it, and I only paid $1500. Thanks again for the comments. Jim

I see one of these for sale in very good condition where i live for 1200. I'm looking to step up from a 250. and i have rode a cb 400 but is this 750 like a modern 600?

My riding buddy has a Yamaha r6 (I think) It is a 600cc bike. Both bikes are comparable. You will love the 700. Be sure to keep the airfilter and oil filter clean, and change the oil with premium stuff every 2500 miles (I use GTX 10w 40) and you will have one great bike that will last almost maintanence free. I got mine for $1500, and it was worth every penny. Good luck. If you roll through northern California, lets go for a ride.

Let's ride together anytime. Two beautiful Nighthawks on our nations byways would be too much. Actually, a neighbor of mine has a very nice red '84 too. There could be 3, count 'em three of us! Dangerous? yes. Exciting? Most definitely. Cheers. JK
