  • There is no need to rough them up when using epoxy to wipe them down and get any dust off them

  • Thank you man, I feel stupid, 20 years of flying nitros, electrics and EDF's so my next stop was 3d epp, I am using good ol welders on all surfaces but stopped when I got to the rod because I couldnt see why the instruction said to use it for everything. The CF spare should be very stiff and solid, for outdoor flight correct? I know this is an old video in RC time but is this still the method used??? BTW I am building the Fancey Foam YAK 55 32''. Using 2mm CF rod to spider brace the aft fuse.

  • @vizzuleyes I dont use Epoxy anymore I use Contact Cement like Welders of a glue called Foam Tac cement to glue all the carbon rods! I still use tape for all my hinges but will time to time make them out of hot glue! I dont do Welders hinges as they take so long to dry!

  • i would like to see how to cut ailerons in foam.

  • Did you just want to see how ro cut them or tape and hinge also!

  • I think you should roughen the rod with sandpaper to give the epoxy something to bite on.

  • Thanks for the nice vid! I'm new to EPP worked with balsa so far. How do i solidify EPP? i just made a delta wing and the carbon (hot glued) works fine to solidify the basic shape but i feel i have to make the ailerons rigid or they will twist -EPP is kind of soft... any method of making it more rigid? some glue? Thanks!

  • Great video!!!

    Helped me a lot!

    Thanks!!!

  • @tallguysd I know this is an old ass video, but I just wanted to say, if you use unequal weight to hold it down, you run the risk of bowing the graphite if you leave it sitting.

  • the video was to fast slo down do a nether video

  • would really appreciate seeing both if possible.
