This video comes from an old, battered VHS tape that belongs to my father, who worked for KLFY for decades. It includes a montage a classic slides used for broadcast purposes, from the good old days when TV stations had their own in-house artists who painted and inked everything by hand. Also shown are a number of bloopers, some vintage TV ads and at least one spoof ad, and some footage from the close of the 1975 Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon. Among those personalities appearing on the tape: Maria Placier, Jim Baronet, Bill Besson, Rod Bernard, Mike Barras, and Bruce Conque.

  • Hey, buddy.

  • Absolutely love this!

I remember rummaging through the library at KADN before we remodeled a couple of years ago. I was able to save a couple of artifacts from the dumpster—especially an old PSA artcard with the original rainbow 15 logo, which is now framed and hanging in my hallway!

There's an interesting artcard at 1:18 announcing that "We're Moving..." I assume this was used when the station moved from the corner of Jefferson Blvd and Pinhook Road to its current digs on Eraste Landry Road.
