Carolina Growler is originally based upon the M151A2. They started by building new tubs and bolted on old M151 parts. Their first market area was to the military vehicle collector. This vehicle they've sold to the Marines is still essentially a M151 on WonderBread (_not_ steroids).
It seems that GDLS and/or American Growler either have a mole in the Washington Post --- or at the very least, Walter Pincus is a total stooge. Have a look at this;
The article never once mentions Colonel (now General) William Catto, quotes proven-false figures for dates and costs, and throws in a LOT of Red Herrings.
It's all easily debunked by Googling "EFSS", "Growler Jeep", and "Growler ITV".
DISGRACE. Wait until the first Marines die while training in this deathtrap.
We can only hope the inevitable wrongful death suits bankrupt the Growler company.

It does piss us off. However, officers have their connections.

Why doesn't this piss off all the gung-ho types who are still in the military enough to make someone pay attention?
