these bells are amazing form the top of the tower, very loud when your standing just above the bells and are looking down oin them. going to liverpool again next week so will remember to get some vids!

As I noticed this answer, I wear hearing aids and did a sound test in St Pauls Cathedral when Chris Forster(Is a well known ringer) took me there, I litterly stood in belfry with the hearing aids on my hearing aids adjusted to the sound and lowered themselves down. The middle 6 were being rung down and the tenor which is 62 cwt was being tolled for service.
Apparantly with the Liverpool's belfry u can drive 2 double decker buses around the bells as I heard from Alban Forster.

You can't beat these bells because they are the heaviest in the world and if you can ring here, you can ring anywhere in world!

There's a clip on my film of the bells, but not 'on' :)

Been done. See campanophile;-) Unfortunately I was busy and didn't know about that attempt so no recording :-( I've rung Exeter tenor a fair bit (including a few 1/4s) but only once at Liverpool. First impression - I would prefer Liverpool for a 1/4 but they are the other end of the country...... How about a vid of Great George??
this video looks like the one on a website about liverpool bells I logged on to

Who actually went in there and filmed that? The noise must have been deafening!

Did U wear earplugs?

No need, been in towers all my life so you get used to the noise after a while. They would only damage your ears if you were there for a prolonged time.
