"I Don't Care" is the second single by K-pop group 2NE1 from the eponymous Mini Album, 2NE1 and became a hit on various on- and offline charts.
The song was released as the second single on July 1, 2009, with promotions starting in early July. The song marked a change in the group's image, as "Fire" showcased a stronger, edgier image; in contract, YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk stated that "I Don't Care" would enable the group to display a softer, more feminine image.
An unplugged "reggae" version of the song was performed on SBS's Inki Gayo music show, signaling the end of promotions for the song. However, due to the remix's popularity, it was released to digital outlets on September 3, 2009.
The music video starts with the members of 2NE1 talking on the phone, each being ditched by their boyfriends over the phone. Then as the song starts, they sit in front of a Fortune Teller who stops time so everyone/everything stops moving with the exception of all the 2NE1 members. The 2NE1 members take advantage of this and look for their boyfriends. They find them with other girls, frozen because of the time. To get them back, they do things to them so that when time unfreezes, their boyfriends will be humiliated in front of the girls they are with. Before the video ends, everything starts moving and it shows their boyfriends making a fool of themselves in front of the girls.
