Pimms - summertime advert c. 1989

Black and white advert, using "Summertime" by a currently unknown female vocalist, but probably Ella Fitzgerald, for Pimms and Lemonade.

Contains a Sound Recording version of "Summertime" owned or administered by Believe. Probably available on official downloading sites, depending on which artist it is.

The artist is Ella Fitzgerald, but from this little piece I cannot tell which of the 26 known Summertime by Ella it is.

Wonderful advert I love the music and images. I spent a long time trying to find the adverts version of Ella singing summertime. I think the actual version can be found on the album 'something to live for'. Love the advert and thanks for posting it

I bought the UK 12" that was released as a result of this advert. The label has a production credit of 1958, so which version did Ella cut in 1958?

We just 24,850 full covers of Summertime in the collection so 26 is not to much compared to f.i. Sublime with more than 80 and the Indigo Girls with almost 70 :-)
