People take these pairing issues way too seriously. They are fictive characters, what does it matter whether they are "related" or not? What does it matter whether they are two boys, two girls, a boy and a girl, what ever? The realities of life do not have to touch them. Stupid to argue about it really.

Well, they are brother and sister in a way, but not in blood. They're siblings by law. Rukia is Byakuya's wife's sister, so Rukia is Byakuya's sister in law... so it's NOT gross, got it? There's no wrong in those two ending up together, or for people to support the couple.
