Like Simon said in his apology to Cook, it wasn't as clear cut as Simon called it. Cook was outstanding all season long. As David A said himself, "it would be really sad if all the work they put into Idol all season was determined based on only one night. Regardless, it is over and it is time to move on. Both Davids have moved on and are selling their albums and getting ready to tour. I hope they can both escape the prejudice against Idol contestants which is hard enough without fan wars.

The collective soul song was one of Cook's best of the season. Sorry but David A could never match Cook in either singing or performing. Cook may very well become the most successful AI winner ever. His new CD is excellent and it gets better everytime I listen to it.
