@Doxem - Nope that's completely wrong. The paper goes in a day when there is a 'Next Action' to do on that piece of paper. If you have something to do 3 days before a meeting put the agenda 3 days before the meeting OR write a new note about the prep you need to do and file the agenda on the day of the meeting and the new note 3 days before the meeting. The whole point is NOT to use a separate calendar. You have utterly missed the whole point of the concept.

@ ChristianinHollywood ... File the documents on the day you need to action them. Fo example, if you need to post a payment or a birthday card, file it on the day yu need to action it: this will depend on your needs, but remember to allow for weekends! I generally file cards a week before. However, an agenda for a meeting or an invitation to an event would be filed on the day itself. If you have work that is not time specific, it doesn't go in here, but your finished report could go in here bet
