  • In my house, we take off our shoes at the door. We're american and we do it because its more sanitary. Imagine all the disgusting places you walk, then walk the filth in your home...gross! My family knows to take off their shoes at my door. We have to remind them. My sister inlaw doesn't like to, but oh well. I wish wish wish this is one custom the americans could willfully adopt.

  • the awkward moment when you play the ukulele and you hear a saxophone and bongo drums being played instead

  • Japan is so much epicness

  • Slurping and no tips???? F*ck America!

  • I have a question! I was listening to an etiquette expert on the radio talking about the problems travelers face in other countries and he mentioned about the number 4 and it's impact onJapanese culture with the death thing and told a story about how a store manager refused to sell him a bunch of bananas because there were 4 in the bunch. If you go to a restaurant and you tell the waiter you have 4 in your party, does no one care or are you denied service or if they care is an extra person added?

  • I'm Canadian and everybody I know, including my family, takes off their shoes before entering a house, it just seems so dirty to walk in with shoes on, it feels weird to me, especially if it's snowy of muddy outside :P
