  • was expecting more of a mish/eves album but anything with julieannes sweet voice on it cant be bad ,

  • @bansheehowl It was never marketed at anything like that - both artists said as much , so it needs the listener to adjust accordingly. In any case, this speaks to their respective versatility that they could do this and also other multitude of styles that you know better.

  • Embarrassingly bad.

  • @figurehead1971 Thank you for the constructive comment.

  • there are better, more interpretative or innovative, interesting cover projects ... think, I don't need this.

  • I'm loving it ....just heard it all through .......not a lover of covers usuallly .....but I'm fans of both......think both have mellowed & have great voices....like fine wine! Mine was given as gift so is lovely reminder of the exctiment of heading up to Mish gig Leeds. No wonder people don't attempt new style....given the comment's on here !

  • I received my SIGNED copy in the post this morning ; look forward to listening to it !

  • LOVE it. Its all very languid and really suits both their (amazing) voices. Love the Nick Cave cover, Calling Your Name and Dangerous Eyes which is just too bloody catchy for words! Brilliant.

  • @louisorleans Except she hasn't since 1996. The reformed Eve's songs were weak musically and vocally too.

  • @andygoth Totally uninspired musically and vocally, it is all a bit embarassing.

  • @PaulMWIS

Further to this, with a selection of covers this offers, it's like a fucking embarassingly bad QVC advertised album by the likes of Jane McDonald..what next Ava Maria lol

It's not good musically, it's not inspired musically, it's not good vocally.....is that enough? It is my opinion, and I find it "Embarassingly Bad!

Julianne would do better cashing in on her past by the sounds of things, an AAE B Sides compilation maybe of their more creative songs would be great.

That is about as constructive as I can get without going further into offending you as a fanboy, but I will if you want me to.

Since the rather brilliant "Ultraviolet", and fairly ok but timely fashionable "Mice" project, the (now defunct) reformed Eves minor new track outputs showed nothing but a sloppy breathiness to Juliannes voice, this further sounds damaged on these new recordings, nothing inspiring in her voice in any of these snippets of a majority of covers.
