I think Riverdance is so popular because it builds off of universal rhythms that all humans share, no matter what culture or land we come from. We may not all have the same music, but there's an underlying beat and rhythm to everyones lives from the seasons, to the day, to our own heartbeat, and I think Riverdance captures some of that spirit. As an American from the Appalachians, I love to see the way my ancestors would have danced and how it is still kept alive in our music and dance here.

I remember doing a version of this in my Irish Dance School, i wasnt lead but ye'no............ it is magical dancing with that music :]
