Oh my God, that's absolutely wonderful!!!!!! Netrebko's fans should take a look to this to understand what the word "soprano" means... By the way, does anyone has an mp3 of this? She's brilliant, I love her!

Sempre assisa a te d'appresso, mille gaudi ti direi, Ah! ti direi.
Ed i palpiti ti direi che rispondono al mio cor.
Gemme e perle non desio, non son vaga d'altro affetto.
Un tuo sguardo è il mio diletto, un tuo bacio è il mio tesor.
Vieni! ah vien! più non tardare!
Vieni a me, vien d'appresso. Ah vieni a me!
Ah vien! Nell'ebbrezza d'un amplesso, ch'io viva sol d'amor!

@Ariadne7710 I hav heard Ingeborg's version; she's a beautiful and talented singer and I love her voice but for Arditi's Bacio I really love Sokorska; she fills me with delight and it's a very happy and grand version with the right pacing, sound and color. She just sings this so amazingly. At least we can agree Sorkoska and Halstein both sing this better than Netrebko

@OperaMystery80 Try Ingeborg Halstein's version. It is even better, more musical, with wonderful additional embellishments and a stratospheric A6!!

@TONKICHANEL The best version is Ingeborg Hallstein's by far. Wonderful crystalline voice and musicianship by the bucketload. And her additional embellishments are inspirational. Look for it on YT. As for Sutherland's it is only for her blindly faithful fans. In particular the additional embellishments are just plain awful, unmusical and do not fit into the rest of the melody.

I'm sorry, I just don't think this is the best version.

I just listened to this after listening to Sutherland's 1960 live version, and someone suggested Sokorska's version was better. It's different and certainly lovely, but not better, IMO. Her voice is much thinner and the technique isn't as solid. I enjoyed it, but it was nowhere near as thrilling or as beautiful. Let's agree to disagree.

SURPASSES any of the "professional opera singers" TODAY.
She was a pupil of Ada Sari. Gilda, Rosina, Olympia, Konztanze, Blonde, Queen of the Night, Lakme, Zerbinetta, Norina, Serpina, Fiordiligi, Britten's Titania, Adele in Fledermaus, and many more :)
