why did you have to remove the spark plugs?

@1sambone to lock the cylinder in tdc to hold the valves in place while changing springs.

@SeanBallaWaller1 i did the install myself but look to spend about a g on parts labor took me 2 days cause a valve retainer fell down into an oil galley

Actually the 3v 4.6 is a good car/motor to work on. Can you put on long tube headers with a tubular k-member? I don't think so, but I can. Also these cars were meant to be fairly simple to work on. Good for track cars, although the cobra motor/tranny are much better.

what did you have to do with the timing gears, did you have to take them off or what

the 05+ engines are a mess to work on.. my 99 cobra is nice and clean.. easy to work on
