  • It's probably becuase they are extremely clever that they find themselves on the left of the spectrum. It's a much more honest way of dealing with politics than what you'd find on Fox News!

  • @HumbleWillis

    1. The LIA and MWP were not global and were not related to CO2. You seem to think this somehow means that present warming can't be related to CO2. But that doesn't follow.

    2. "Hey, you wanna know what else explains the sustained warming trend?" Sure I would like you to explain what you think is driving it, but your answer does no such thing. So which of the main climate drivers do you think accounts for the warming trend?

  • Warming Climate? Lies and Fake problems to raise real Carbon Taxes! We need Paradism (dot) org, no more media (and political) lies.

  • @HumbleWillis "Ice Core Samples show us that of the last 10K years, 9100 of those years have been WARMER than today's temperatures"

This argument is from Don Easterbrook who bases his case on ice cores from Greenland. There are two problems with it:

    1. It relates only to the North Atlantic region - not the globe. In fact the Antarctic temps tend to move in the opposite direction to Arctic temps.

    2. The Greenland ice core data only goes up to 1855. Greenland is now at its warmest in 8500 years.

  • @cristop5 In fact, Ice Core Samples show us that of the last 10K years, 9100 of those years have been WARMER than today's temperatures by an average of FIVE DEGREES FAHRENHEIT! The planet is SUPPOSED to be warmer than it is today. It was already warming before the industrial revolution. It would have been warming with or with out it, and there's no way to honestly prove we have anything to do with the temperature increase.

  • @cristop5 Hey, you wanna know what else explains the sustained warming trend? The fact that 1000 years ago global temperatures were warmer than they are now, then we had a little ice age which peaked in the 1600's, and ever since then temperatures have been on the rise ... presumably rising back to the pre-ice age temperatures which were HIGHER THAN TODAY'S TEMPERATURES! Temperature increase IS EXPECTED if you look at historical data that goes back more than a couple of hundred years.

  • @HumbleWillis No climatologists believe that CO2 is the only factor that affects global temperatures. Variations in solar output, ocean currents, volcanoes etc also drive temperatures up and down. But they are cyclical or sporadic. CO2 is the only factor that can explain the sustained warming TREND we've seen over the last 30-40 years.

If only there were climate scientists who argue global temperatures must be in lock step with CO2, you'd have a point instead of a strawman 'argument'.

  • This was recently covered in the news. CO2 output has spiked over the last 10 years. If temperature is tied to CO2, temperature SHOULD have spiked as well. However, that isn't the case. Global temperatures have been flat for the last 10 years, disproving that there is a link between temperature and CO2.

Well, apparently the science is settled. Global Warming was a hoax. Thank you. Have a nice day.

  • Carbon dioxide has been static for 200 years
