I spotted a beautiful momma bear foragging for scarce blueberries close to the roadway inside of Samuel de Champlain Provincial Park. Her cubs were close by watching and waiting patiently on a sun warmed piece of Canadian Shield. They were sitting, playing, racing each other up trees, and being completely adorable. The momma was WAY larger in real life than I had ever expected, and she was indifferent to the strange folks getting way too close to get a picture. Since I love bears and didn't want to provoke an encounter I remained in my car and by doing so had a good vantage point and was the only one to get a glimpse of her babies! Sorry for the grainy video, I was just pleased that I happened to have my camera with me!
