This is my first take on Graphics Programming after joining a game development institute.

This is the work that I created from my own knowledge and google, and this is what I came up with in 3 months.

Softwares used: Visual Studio 2008.
All programming has done through C++
Different basic techniques are shown in this video, which are used as the entry level point for Game Development.
Mesh loading, Shaders, Billboarding, HeightMaps, Bum Mapping, etc.

This is my first work that I have created from the many that I am working on.

More videos to follow showing, DX11, Web Based games, and other 3d games currently working on.

  • try C# .. it'll let you do more in less code :) .. also BUM mapping ??? wtf tech ..

  • @pgdvirus Thans mate for commenting.. I did this video when I started off, now I have done stuff on C# XNA, DirectX 10 and 11. And am currently working on Web based games on C# Silverlight.

BUMP Mapping is a technique with which you can achieve 3d kind of look using 2d textures. For eg, the Cracks on the coloumns and the water are both 2d, just by using BUMP or normal mapping, it gives a feeling of 3D, at the cost of 2D.

This has been replaced by Tesselation in DX11.. more awsmness....

  • @mkapoorgamedev hey which game development institute? I was thinking of going to game dev. schooling but itt had (ONLY) one program no game company respects & another just had pc repair center type.

  • @pgdvirus Yes at the expense of realtime speed, which is something you need for realtime 3d rendering.

  • Very impressive I hope I can do this in 3 months.
