Neither one. He's playing the "Liberator" model which he helped design. It had a much larger bore ( .470 ) than the Conn's, and even slightly larger than the ST302 ( .468 ).

Did you notice the trumpet player who made an exit at the end of the piece? I wonder if he was mad at Maynard?

No, he was getting set for the next number. He plays the 'Fox Hunt' with MF.
