let me just say that i never saw the muppet show growing up, but i listened to the first two albums incessantly. since discovering your clips a week ago, I've watched every episode you uploaded and it's been so moving to see the songs i loved in context. i must have cried like 4-5 times. thank you so much!!!

if i were in her shoes, i'd pretend to pass out, and hope he'd fall for it, lol, even though Sweetums is one of my fav-Muppets, but if he were chasing me on a small island and i didn't have anywhere to hide while running away from him, i don't think i'd have much of a choice, hahaha.

@DrJuliusStrangpork I can't thank you enough for doing this. I was born in 1993, so I had very minimal access to the Muppets, and absolutely no access to The Muppet Show. This has been amazing, seeing the first two season. Keep on Muppeting, Doc!

Cloris Leachman was horribly underused in this episode usually I'm all for less guest more Muppets, but that was ridiculous.

Tex Avery was a director of many well known animated shorts from the 40's and 50's. That pre-dates the Muppets by a few decades.

So Cloris Leachman is a survivor of a shipwreck who winds up on a desert island to be terrorized by a monster, and is then saved by another monster.

That's a strange set up if there ever was one.

Not as good but pretty similar to the episode where the Muppets are turning into chickens.
