Many believe that these verses are a parable. Please notice that Abraham's name is mentioned 6 times, Moses 2 times, and Lazarus 4 times. If this is a parable, what is it teaching and why didn't Jesus provide the meaning as he did with other parables he gave?

And I [Jesus] say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. Luke 12:4,5.

We deserve Hell. I deserve Hell for the wrong I have done. I'm thankful for a savior that saved me not only from Hell, but also from suicide a couple years back. Jesus Christ is my savior forever. And for all the pointless arguing going on from people that call themselves Christians, fighting is not how Jesus brought people to Him. It is through His love, and His love alone that the world will be saved.

@ginawinabean God is not (only) Merce and Love. He is justice. And just that you now, ONLY Jesus talked about Hell. No-one else. So even though he is considered as Teddy Bear, he can also be Grizzly Bear. ;) And as he comes back, he's clothes will be red in blood as he's angry for what people have done. But one thing I'm 100% sure, He's judgement is fair. Most likely both of us is wrong anyways. :)

@Ergopad Look, No matter what you say I'm not going to believe that a god of mercy is going to throw someone in hell for eternity. Why do some people deserve to be in hell longer than other people? People have died in the past and people die now. Why do the people who died back then deserve to suffer longer in hell than the people who die today? Hell is not mercy. You can not make me believe that God will throw people in a place like that and let them suffer for eternity.

@ginawinabean Saying Devil is not in Hell, does NOT mean that there aren't any lost souls there. It's not that straightforward in any case and there is lot of false testimonies of course. The best way is to study Bible of course, but unfortunately those people who never judged the book are the ones who criticize it most. It's like saying Avatar (movie) sucks, without seeing the whole thing. Try David Pawson's videos, if reading is out of question for some reason.

@ginawinabean About the second question; if non-believers go to Hell. I don't think that's the case for everybody and Bible (Romans: 2:11-12). Which tells that you'll go to Hell if you reject Jesus, but if you haven't heard of him then your actions define it.Percy Collett's 5½ days trip to Heaven tells the same that there were people "On the way" to Heaven learning about Jesus. Google: "The preparation for sinners to be pure in heart may take 1000 years outside heaven.".

@ginawinabean Check youtube video with ID:iHAJojGIqi4 for more info about the hell. Of course there is no 100% evidence, and even if there would be, they wouldn't allow to announce that kind of news because it would took of the roots of current science.

And according to Bible, the Devil is not in Hell! (as Hollywood wants us to think)But in this very Earth we're living. That's why people got corrupted when they grow up, because the power of the Devil. But that's going to change!

@Ergopad I see you were quick to answer one part of my comment but you wouldn't say anything about the rest. I'm not going to google anything that could be a hoax. On top of that, if it's people screaming did you stop to think that it could be demons screaming? Why do you think they want to be here so much? You think being with satan is fun? I know there's a place where Satan is and I guess we can call that hell. But the idea that some people should burn in hell for ignorance is not mercy.
