  • Does the mantis shrimp do this often?because mine is a voracious eater but yesterday he started refusing his food =(

  • @LunaFormositas the problem here was that I'd grabbed my camera after she'd fed him his regular portion, and he just wasn't interested in more. It sounds like yours is either ready to moult or recently moulted, either way they won't touch food for a time. Check your water parameters and make sure nothing's off in your system.

  • You can get many species pretty easily, ask your local aquarium shop that has saltwater if they can order one for you.

and yes, it is a girls hand, my friend Sam(antha) is crazy brave and has a real way with predators. This wasn't posted with the intent to inspire everyone with a stomatopod to try hand feeding their pet, it was to show that my friend has hers trained so well that she can hand feed him.

  • A kid one town away from where I live had his genitals burned off, his left eye ruined, and now needs a colon bag, because of a stupid stunt he wanted to post on Youtube (I believe his account was called 903 Click or something.) Anyway, long story short: Don't do stupid stunts to put on Youtube, unless you want a smashed thumb or to crap in a bag with no wonker for the rest of your life.

  • Feed it with your willy next time....

    I dare ya !!!!!!!

  • @Greenturtlmonstr I have a mantis shrimp right now. I barely got him a few days ago. He was eating healthy and a lot just a few days ago but yesterday he started refusing food. Why could this be? I had a nother mantis and he started refusing food and in a few days he died, he didnt molt =[. So I'm quite scared and I fear that the same thing will happen to the mantis I have right now. The water is excellent. So I'm not sure why he's refusing. Do you know why this could be? please help!

  • I'll bet you anything this mantis was getting ready to moult. It's generally the only time they'll refuse food.

  • it wanted her hand not the shrimp. you can tell how it got excited when it saw it. the shrimp was just in the way

  • Toby Keith doesn't want to be fed, Toby Keith wants to HUNT!!!

  • @Chemoshh The only one arguing is you. And the only one confused by semantics is you lol. Hence why you twist my words to fit your train of thought.

  • @st4nd4us Great, now it's an argument on semantics. It seems implied (in that you are referring to yourself) that no one, would be "No one of importance". Also, thank you, clearly if you do not argue with idiots, yet you argue with me then I am not an idiot. My self esteem is soaring! Tell me more things!

  • @Chemoshh wow see this is why i usually don't reply to idiots that can't even understand the language they speak. A human cannot be "no one". When i say "no one is listening" it means any person who sees your comments realize you are mentally challenged and do not pay attention to you. hence they aren't listening. NO ONE IS LISTENING TO YOU. get it now.

  • @st4nd4us You just called yourself no one. What a genius, of course, what was I thinking matching wits with you!?
