Circa 1980-81 (don't know the exact date, but "sugar" still wasn't a bad word yet), when Kellogg's had the slogan "It's gonna be a great day!" Featuring several of their characters including Tony the Tiger (voiced by Thurl Ravenscroft), Tony Jr, Snap Crackle & Pop, Dig 'Em the Frog (from Sugar Smacks, later renamed Honey Smacks) Toucan Sam (Froot Loops) and the chocolate elephant from Cocoa Krispies.

  • This was before my time, but I can't stress enough how much fun cereal commercials used to be.

How often do you see a commercial today where you actually want to go out and buy some damn cereal?

  • dude that song is GETTING OLD!!!

i hate that everything is either going rap or pop rock. even camp grenada has gone pop rock.
