Death of a pimped Lanyu TW745 Cessna... Pilots eye view!

a faithful workhorse no more; I've been running this on a brushless setup for a while now, and loved this plane; but Christmas saw a mod too far.

The onboard vidcam caused no problems; but since I do a lot of late evening flying, I thought LED lights would be a great idea for the winter... I cut shallow channels into the wing, and filled them flush afterwards for the lighting rig.. but maybe some carbon fibre would have helped as well lol!

Pulling out of a steep dive today, the wing sheared right off at one of the light channels.




The flight vid is upside down - not used to the new camera yet; but the aftermath is the correct way up!

Ah well, I've got a Sea Fury and FW190 that will happily use some of the electrics...
