Being diagnosed with bipolar type one disorder I can sincerely say I wish the best for your sister. She is lucky to have friends and family like you who truly understands the severity of this disease. As we know without treatment and support from loved ones it doesnt end very well. Unfortunately Im not as lucky.

Thank you so much. I have rapid cycling BP and am an alcoholic/addict. You captured it all so well. Your support [both for your sister, and all of us you have this condition...] is a blessing. with gratitude, s

Thank you for this. I struggle on a daily basis with bipolar disorder. My wife doesn't even believe me but I take meds that help only a little. I'm addicted to drugs to help me. It's a vicious cycle.

There is an new therapy that has had extensive research.
Keep taking your meds. If they aren't doing the trick, keep nudging them with your Psychiatrist.
Now, in addition to cognitive behavioral therapy, yoga, music therapy, art therapy, aroma therapy there is : drum roll please :
EMDR Eye movement desensitization reprossessing.
The Pshychologist helps your brain get untangled from switching back and forth, right brain, left brain, right brain, left brain, right brain, and back

This has to be one of the best videos I have seen on Bi-polar, it made me cry because it so true. I love the end, it hits something so hard to explain!

My brother has never been diagnosed but he began to exhibit symptoms before he was thirteen years old. He is going to be nineteen years old this year and he refuses to seek help despite the fact that he never made it past the 9th grade, he does not have a job, lives with my dad, and barely leaves their apartment. My little brother and I had an amazing relationship growing up and I barely get to see him any more :( I miss him like crazy every day and I fear that I may never truly know him again..

This is a really good video. I have bipolar disorder and my story is sooo similar. Especially with the alcohol part. I never get better, I only get worse. Especially when I start going through alot of stress, or I quit taking my meds, which I hate the most. Then I'm right back where I started. But I know that taking the meds really helps. I've been battling it since I was 15, but over time, the illness gets worse if not treated. whats up with all the shitty comments on here?

I would like to thank everyone who have sent me personal messages regarding this video.
Your kind words and words of hope are a complete comfort to me.
To help rid the stigma towards mental illness, I would like to encourage all of you to leave a small comment here (and still definitely still send your your personal messages to me) so that others can see that they ARE NOT ALONE and that this is nothing to be ashamed of.
Once again, thank you to all of you.
