An easy but fascinating circular walk from Errwood Hall car park, a few miles north-west of Buxton.
Taking about an hour, it passes by the ruins of Errwood Hall and the graves of the family that once lived there. Built around 1840, this magnificent country house was demolished in 1935, soon after the construction of the reservoir that now dominates the valley.
To see the hall in all it's glory, as well as photos of this magical valley before it vanished under the waters, visit our website at www.goyt-valley.org.uk.
