  • It was very difficult to locate the 5 sequences

  • @DRanaish They're all in order on our website. Go there and under the GoSwim Gold section... you'll find them.

  • I swam competitively in highschool and still uses my hands way too much. Actually I was taught to 'throw water behind my ears' with the hands during the flip to help me flip over faster. I'm a little confused right now. I need to revisit my local pool and try some flip turns again - it's been way too long and I miss the smell of chlorine every morning :)

  • @theoneofeight - We also present other options for the turns at the website and on here. As you get back into things... don't forget to customize things for yourself. There's tons of info at the site, and a good community to help with questions you may come across as you refresh the old skills. Welcome back to the sport and have a great time.

  • i want to ask right word tuck up your legs in tighter ball and tuck your chin in the back between your legs. so confusing words are ball and beck. please explain it. i didn't get the ball and beck. i need to under stand so please explain. this is the best video i have seen on the net for flip turn so for.you have given every little details to make it easy. THANKS

  • @1stcaspian - bring your legs tight against your chest, forming your body into a shape like a ball. This will allow it to spin faster. If you have other questions, visit the website and post there. There's a lot of helpful people who have been through what you're going through. Thanks.

  • As a 32 year old man, I felt ridiculous in the pool with a big purple spongy noodle. I felt REALLY stupid coming to the surface, coughing up water on the first 12 attempts. But I stuck with it, and got it, even without the noodle. Thanks for the video! I've been wanting to be able to do this for years.

  • iv tried to do the flip turn afew times but i always end up with a snout full of water ..its excruciating!!! after watching this ..i just might be brave enough to give it another shot.....someone told me to breathe out while turning but i always run out of air mid-turn and i have to dash for the surface!..maybe im not breathing deep enough....

  • his voice sounds like josh waitzkin's :) - great video!

  • looks hard

  • Thank you for this video - I was having trouble nailing down flips without the use of my hands. The first time I tried using the noodle, it worked great. I've started doing my flips correctly now, and my swim teacher is impressed by the tip too!
