Thats because he has to keep nails on his left hand short(like every other guitar player). he couldn't press down the strings well if he had long nails. And he has long nails on his right hand, because of picking strings. If he picked the strings with trimmed nails, sound wouldn't be that clear and it would be much harder to pick a specific string. Although he could just buy false fingernail rings, but thats just waste of money.

Oh my God.I've been playing the guitar for about 7 years,and I have to admit that was one of the most beautiful sounds(if not the most beautiful) I've heard coming from a guitar.It's not just the music that's awesome,it's not the hardship,it's the fact that you hear it and you feel what the melody was written to make you feel.

Bravo pal,hats off to you.This was one of the best executions of an already awesome song.
