The Mercian Gathering 2006

On 1st, 2nd 3rd September five hundred people gathered in Warwickshire for the 2006 event.

Thank you to all the wonderful speakers and workshop leaders, the Dagda for their excellent security service, the scary Vikings, the brilliant Dolmen, Ash and Ian, the fire performers, Jack and Gus for the wickerman, the archers, Troll the hearth-fire keeper, and to everyone who came and joined us in such good spirits at the Gathering.

Most of all, massive thanks all the hard working crew and organisers, who give their time freely to keep everybody happy and make it all happen.

All profits went to the Animal Sanctuary [£2000] and Spiritual Fellowship Centre [£500]

Wish i could of seen it. Did the pagans or druids really burn wicker man in your area, or is this a modern new age festival. It would be nice if there was history. There has always something deep down that Draws me to it. We have small one on our Island But i haven't been yet. I will now!

No questions are stupid, ask anything you like. No, as I understand it Witchfest is run by a commercial organisation called The Children of Artemis (CoA). The Mercian Gathering is pagan gathering open to people of all paths, created and run by The Hearth of Arianrhod, all profits going to a local animal sanctuary and the Spiritual Fellowship centre.
