Paul is homeless in Hollywood. We met in front of the CNN Building where a group of homeless people gather outside to watch TV. The TVs play audio outside and people watch the news, of course CNN. I think its awesome and I was happy to hear the security guards are cool.

Paul is a cancer survivor, yet now has to fight for his life living on the streets of Los Angeles. He was in the hospital for over 3 months, and now homeless for 4 days. Paul has been sleeping at the Greyhound Bus Station downtown, but found Hollywood Station to be a little friendlier. The hospital did send him to a mission downtown. But after visiting he didnt want to stay on Skid Row. I cant blame him. I made the same choice 15 years ago, and I think staying in Hollywood may have saved my life.

I cant imagine fighting cancer and homelessness. I have another homeless friend [http://twitter.com/kathyhantz] that is battling cancer and homelessness in Hollywood.

There is good news for Hollywood. Hollywood Entertainment District has partnered with Common Grounds 100,000 Homes Campaign to house the most vulnerable in the neighborhood. There are no words to express how grateful I am to see real change happening in my home town. There is no way to know what Pauls future will be, or my friend Kathy, but at least now there is hope.

  • @Esoteric0714 THANK YOU!!!

  • @MrLOLSUPUMAD Do you believe that people should get government benefits?

  • @volcomdude56 Have you seen how many homeless people he helps? Multiply 42 by all of the homeless people he's ever talked to and he would have no money. Chill.

  • If we would bring manuacturing and assembly back into America, then we would had jobs. I am also homeless too as my mother has taken me in, after being laid off twice. China is killing our economy as they had robbed us of our American jobs.

  • @volcomdude56 42 bucks..lol men...its only help for a moment...and than he have still nothin..bro

  • @jenniferashley99 I meant how it works out...

  • My mom is the same age and I cannot imagine her to be homeless..you just never know who it works out..

  • homeless people arent always pot heads that are alcoholics this guy had it together very well and id take him in.

  • @Esoteric0714 I think both things are injustices, but gay marriage would not require the same kind of funding that dealing with homelessness would cost. So while fighting homelessness is a worthy cause, we should continue to fight for gay rights, and fight against any other injustices that there may be.

  • get it together grouch
