This new, original track from Health's upcoming Disco2 has me looking forward for the remix album a lot. There's also word artists such as Javelin, Crystal Castles, and Tobacco will be remixing songs from Health's previous album, Get Color.

On this song, Health is sticking to their guns, but they're pointing them in a dancier, more accessible direction. I love the building sensation the sounds give, along with just about everything else "USA Boys" has to offer.

What do you think of this track? Love it? Hate it? Why?

8/10

  • In heat remix is the best

  • THIS GUY UGH

  • WHY DO YOU HATE FADE OUTS SO MUCH?

  • what did you think about the album!? some great stuff can be said man. I enjoyed..both versions of Die Slow, Severin, and In Violet a lot. pictureplane's whole aesthetic is really great imo

  • Dance music has really been growing on me recently. I've really liked washed out after seeing them (him? I don't know if Ernest's accompaniment is actually part of the band), and I'd say this is comparable in likeability (whatever that means), high 80's out of 100, feels very influenced by hip-hop, and when the (foggy? drowsy?) vocals kicked in, instant headrush. Love it!

  • i first heard this through pitchfork since the video was posted recently. personally i'm a sucker for noisy dance tracks and it sounded like a combination of a slowed 1980s dance club track and a 1990s e-raver track playing for the comedown. alan moulder mixed it and it was recorded at reznor's home studios ... so your industrial comment was quite apt. new new romantic perhaps? =]
