If you listen very carefully, the music is a reminiscant to the underwater levels in the first donkey kong games.

@jddaman1337 Yeah I know. David Wise didn't touch the real DKC3 music, but 3 is the first of the GBA ports he worked on. The first two ports just ported the music over as well, and it sounded terrible compared to the SNES counterparts. That's why I'm glad they decided to remake the music with the GBA's sound processor in mind..
