We were instructed to go under the patient's clothing/gown when auscultating but I always see MD's and nurses auscultating by placing their scopes atop the clothing.

I am in my first semester of RN and I have been a Critical Care Paramedic for 20 years. I guess I have a lot to learn, I didn't know that Nurses put their stethoscope in backwards! Aw Heather i have always loved your videos, but now that Im finishing my last semester in nursing school i am so thankful for your tips! I am so nervous about injections, assessments identifying lung sounds etc - but you make it seem so doable!!! thanks
