SE London Guitarist Billy Jenkins' Songs of Praise band, captured live at The Spitz, London, 12th November 2006.
The band was created as a forward-looking retrospective and (50th birthday) celebration of his music and features (from left to right) legendary drum maverick Charles Hayward, Oren Marshall on tuba, Gail Brand (trombone), Nathaniel Facey (alto saxophone) and violinist Dylan Bates.
They played a short English tour promoted by Simon Thackray of The Shed with funds provided by the ACE and Yorkshire Arts.
Half scored half spontaneous, this his how music should be created!
'Dreadnought Seaman's Hospital' (composed by Billy Jenkins) originally appeared on the 1985 album 'Greenwich' (Wood Wharf Records).
Live sound by Amir Shoat, recorded sound by Tony Messenger.

An old man sitting by the window at the hospital. This music is what he is thinking and feeling. It's also people outside looking in through the window or just passing by. Belgium might have to go to the music.
