Robbery at Eternity Fine Jewelllery in Grande Prairie

Occurrence Date: Thursday April 9th

At 9:30 a.m. on April 10th, a store employee reported that the Eternity Fine Jewellery & Heirlooms store located at 9918-100 Avenue had been broken into.
Entry was gained by the steel lock on the front glass door being popped out. Alarm and phone lines had been cut. Surveillance info showed at approximately 19:15 hrs, the lock on the front door was broken and suspects left the area. Suspects returned approximately 19:29 hrs. and a male and female are seen grabbing items from the front show case and then left. At 20:00 hrs, the suspects return and take items from the east side showcases. Generally speaking time line is 19:15 - 20:01 hrs The male and female culprits entered through the main front area of the store, and removed items from display cases which would be on the east side of the store; and culprits had pried and broken the mirror backing of the cases. The show cases on the west side were also emptied with locks sitting atop; nothing broken. The back portion of the store which houses an office and lunch area was undisturbed.
The store owner had been the last one to leave the store the night previous, and had activated the alarm.
The owner had removed items from the jewelry cases on the west side and secured them in the safe. The cases on the east side she had left in, as they are of a lesser value.
Investigation showed that the single wire running over the backdoor to the phone box had been cut, and several wires contained inside a box next to the electrical meter were also cut. It appears a small tool was used as the wires were quite mangled - not clear cut.
Video shows the suspects walking down the alley on the north side of 100 Avenue earlier.

There are two suspects described as follows:

Suspect 1:

- Caucasian male who looks to be in his 40's
- medium to heavy build with a dark colored handlebar moustache and beard
- wearing a charcoal colored windbreaker over a couple of layers of clothes, black pants with stripes down the side, charcoal or grey gloves and a beige cap which may have an eagle design on the side -also wearing large headphones and carrying a lighter colored backpack with black straps and accents

Suspect 2:

- Female with white or medium skin tone
- slim build with brown hair pulled back -wearing a blue/grey hoodie, grey jeans, grey or charcoal gloves, white shoes, a blue bandanna covering her face and a beige cap which may also have an eagle design on the side.
