Hooverphonic performed live at the Parkstad Limburg Theater in Heerlen, The Netherlands on thursday, december 01, 2011 as part of their The Night Before Tour.

Hooverphonic are a Belgian rock/pop group, formed in 1995. Though early on categorized as a trip hop group, they quickly expanded their sound to the point where they could no longer be described as a lone genre, but rather encompass alternative, electronica, electropop, rock, and mixture of others. The current members are bassplayer and programmer Alex Callier, guitarist Raymond Geerts and vocalist Noémie Wolfs. Wolfs is the successor of Geike Arnaert, who used to be the vocalist of Hooverphonic for more than 10 years. The 3 members of Hooverphonic are joined live on stage by Arnout Hellofs (drums), Remco Kuhne (from Tilburg, The Netherlands on piano) and Cédric Murrath on violin.

The song is "Mad about you", it was released as a single in 2000 prior to the release of Hooverphonic's third studio album, The Magnificent Tree. "Mad About You" is often considered as the band's masterpiece, and its biggest worldwide success. The song features a sweeping string arrangement that typifies the trip-hop genre. It is also similar in style to a Bond-style movie theme, with its dramatic orchestration and lyrics. The song is about a forbidden love, an idea also conveyed in the video, with the lyrics of "Can someone tell me if it's wrong to be so mad about you".
