I love the Who & I have whole collection of Gibson SGs inspired by my love of the Who and Pete's playing, but I recognize what Pete could and could not do playing guitar. His best leads were the ones where he didn't try to overkill but gave the song what it needed. Example: My Generation at Monterey; See Me Feel Me at Woodstock. He's a hell of a lot better than a five year old, but he fully understood his limitations.

@mrtamberineman123 you are retarded and you should kill yourself with whatever instrument you play, pete is theb est rythm guitar player out there he invented the windmill, power slide and much more a lot of his songs have complexed rythem progressions covered with the same awesome solos, he is a true performer watch any of their live takes and you will see like this one for example. Your shit ass is very easy to replace dick.

In my opinion he is EASYEST to replce, with all due respect to Peat but the other three members would be a lot harder to replce because NO ONE CAN SING LKIKE ROGER, OR PLAY BASS LIKE OX OR DRUM LIKE MOON.
But with Pete he is VERY easy to replce..

I think without Keith's drumming it sounds like a different song. Also, since Thunderfingers isn't there they really lost ALOT of what made them great. Still a great song though, and god bless Pete and Roger.

When they do this song without "Fingers" Entwhistle it loses alot. Go listen to it. The Who without Moon and Entwhistle really lose something. I never got that till recently and I LOVE Pete Townsend

End the Who debates. All members are/were extremely talented. But it's clear that Pete is the hardest to replace, he was the true leader of the band and wrote all of their noteworthy songs.

I hope you are joking. You do realise that Pete wrote most of these masterpieces? Moon and Entwistle are as talented as hell, but so are the other 2.
