Eyeless [KuyaPow's short film]

This is a short film I made for school, it's a school project
for the International film unit, and I chose to do a short
film in the Japanese Horror genre. things that inspired me
were The Grudge, The Ring, those kind of horrors where there's
a scary girl haunting their victims lol

How I came up with the idea of this video was a long thought
idea. I've always thought that schools looked scary at night
so when we arrived to the International Film Unit for FTV
my dream came true. I wrote the story, and it was really
so my teacher told me to cut it down, so I did, cutting out
most of the narrative, it wasn't really meant to be just
mindless non-dialogue screaming horror, but it actually had
dialogue but I cut it down to keep it under 5 minutes for
the school. It could have been better but I'm satisfied
with the overall result ! :D

I ammmmmmm really proud of what I did =] it turned out pretty
well lol.

I put lots of effort into this, composing some of the music
. . . but I grabbed most of em from anime soundtracks, which
are listed in the end. I wrote the story, shotlist (list of
every shot) Edited the movie, and for my LOGGED hours, I
edited for 11 hours in total, 6 hour straight at one stage
using Sony Vegas Pro 9.0 (which is what I use to edit all
of my videos lol) I've edited using Adober After Effects
CS3 to make the red stand out, I dulled everything else
using Sony Vegas by layering the 2 videos together and using
the crossfade function to make the red stand out and the
other colours dark n dull.

I just used a normal camera for this . . . nothing special
which is why the quality is kind of bad, but I did as much
as I could to enhance it to make it seem good =D

Filming took 3 days, We shot this at school during night
time, and got kicked out the first night . . . but never
worry! I got permission the next time lol. the First day
we filmed it was raining so hard that we all got drenched
and the wig got really wet and ruined =\ so in the 2nd day
of filming, the part when I'm chained under the staircase
Lierra's hair was all messy and sticky and it was disgusting
lol. There was a planned extended cut which would've run for
10 minutes but I missed out on linking shots =\ which sucks
because the extended cut would've been awesome (this is what
happens when you don't follow the shotlist) because we were
filming at school at night time we couldn't really do any
screaming or gasping or like full on horror madness sounds.
So we had to go to the music room at lunchtime and use the
soundproof rooms to do all the screaming and gasping and
dubbing we wanted. Then I edited Lierra's scream on Adobe
Audition 3.0 to make it seem sinister and disturbing

so . . . in the end the result was good =]
