When Phil lights up, it looks so cool it makes you want to start to be like that.
Thanks for real entertainment!

Thanks for a RARE TREAT!!! :-) THAT'S WHAT I LIKE ABOUT YOUTUBE!! The talent here seems unrivaled today! Can anyone name an entertainer on a par with Phil Harris still alive?? I think the studio-computer-tweaked & tuned singers today would do well to trade their right arm for his stage presence! ;-) And Steve's comedy cast with Louis Nye, Jonathan Winters, Pat Harrington, Bill Dana, Don Knotts, Jane et al simply killed 'em dead! THANKS AGAIN FOR POSTING!! :-)

I don't care what anyone says. Phil Harris is still cool, smoking is still relevant, and you just TRY to beat the reliability of any 1950's/'60's Plymouth, I dare you.

EVERYBODY SMOKED BACK THEN. IT WAS COOL

Since this is a black and white kinescope, the original opening bumper (with the "Peacock") is missing: "The following program is brought to you in 'Living Color' on NBC, by Plymouth...". And this was the final episode of the "Plymouth" series, originally telecast on May 30, 1960.

One thing's for sure, Steve didn't go broke paying royalties to the composer of the title theme, he WAS the composer.

Good lord, what an amazing arrangement!

Dunno jac1503. Sounds like Hot Rod Lincoln to me. Great song, either way.

Phil Harris was the "king of cool"...no doubt about it. The only man who could have "possibly: gone 12 rounds of "cool" with Phil was Dean Martin. The two of them together... "pure American comedy GOLD!"
